Monthly Favourites | June 2014

Wednesday 2 July 2014

Welcome back lovelies! Seeing as you've read the title, today will be another monthly faves post. I really don't have much to show you this month but I think there's enough to keep this post interesting (hopefully) so let's get right into it!
It's no secret that I absolutely adore the L'Oreal True Match foundation and of course it had to make another appearance. Whilst traveling overseas, I didn't bring this foundation because I knew that it wasn't convenient like the Maybelline Fit Me Stick or L'Oreal BB Cream but boy was I wrong in not taking this with me! It's just a great drugstore foundation, suitable for everyday wear, great longevity and easily blendable. Matches my skin .. almost perfectly and covers every blemish of my face. There's not enough words to describe how amazing this foundation is. I would totally recommend it!

Is it weird to have two foundations in a monthly favourites? Haha, well I've been gravitating towards the Chanel Perfect Lumière Velvet foundation often as well because again, it's just amazing in terms of longevity, consistency and it's ability to cover my flaws. And you can't forget about it's sleek packaging and classic detailing with the CC symbol stamped on top and the clear, white lettering. I would definitely recommend this foundation for normal to combination skin if you're wanting to splurge a little .. or a lot.
I definitely think I've found my new favourite drugstore concealer which I think is a cult fave and loved by many others! I have mind in the shade 'Light' and I typically like to use this to highlight underneath my eyes. I toss between the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer on a daily basis and I love both but I think this just brightens up my under eye area just a tad more. Easily blendable and has a doe-foot applicator, total win for me!
I received this beautiful Hourglass Blush in 'Diffused Heat' from my friends Lina and Ray! I am crazy about this blush because it is so freaking pretty, in the swatch and also when applied to the cheeks! It's a lovely rosy pink shade, leaning towards the coral side and is infused with the Ambient Lighting Powders, also by Hourglass. It creates a subtle glowy effect to the skin which is great because then it eliminates one product from your routine, a highlight powder. Hefty price tag and well worth the price, it's incredible and so so gorgeous. I need more!
If you haven't read my recent Sephora Haul (here), I picked this baby up whilst in Kuala Lumpur. I think I've found my holy grail mascara and it's the Urban Decay Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara in black. This stuff holds my curl all day long, barely smudges, hugs onto every lash and makes them existent! I also love the wand because the bristles are short. Can't say enough great things about this mascara and how THANKFUL I am to Jen Chae (frmheadtotoe) for raving about this mascara in her videos! Also check out her channel, I adore her!
It's no lie that I don't just love YSL for their lipstick, but for of course their gorgeous packaging and no I didn't just add it into my favourites because of that, trust me! Haha, I'm really loving the Volupté Shine Lipstick in 13 Pink In Paris. I just think it's the perfect pinky nude shade for my skin tone and I have been taking this lipstick EVERYWHERE with me because it just suits so well with any makeup look. Read my latest review on all of my YSL lipsticks here :)
Last but not least is of course an eyeshadow palette. Here's my MAC 15 Pan Warm Neutural palette and it's to die for. I love all the shades in this palette, despite it being already pre-picked and packed. Great pigmentation and are easily to apply. Would I say the shadows are as buttery as Too Faced eyeshadows? No, not even close but the texture is still smooth and all shadows are consistent in terms of pigmentation. I think these shadows would look great dry or wet, especially the shimmery, metallic ones!

Hope you guys enjoyed reading my favourites for the month of June! Comment down below what your faves were, I would love to know. Until next time, follow my social media for more updates! Also tell me what you want to see on Haus Of Makeup! xx
