December/Boxing Day | Haul

Saturday 28 December 2013

Happy holiday my lovely readers! I'm sorry I didn't say it earlier but Merry belated Christmas everyone, I hope you enjoyed the day with your family and loved ones like I did. I seriously can't believe that it came and gone in a blink of an eye and now we're just a few days away from the New Year.

During this period, I received some wonderful gifts from my family, friends and boyfriend. As much as I love my gifts, I wish they didn't spend money on me because they should be saving it for themselves! Nonetheless, I appreciate all of their hard efforts and hope they loved my presents as well. Let's get started guys!

Hourglass Veil Primer | Review

Sunday 22 December 2013

We've all heard of the famous veil primer from Hourglass and have heard a million positive reviews on it and let me just say .. here's another one. I've used MAC's Prep and Prime, Maybelline Instant Age Primer (First Impression - here) and Australis Matte Face Base and none of them compare to Hourglass' Veil Primer. I purchased this at Mecca Cosmetics several weeks ago and they come in two sizes. Let's just say the bigger bottle's price tag is ridiculous for a primer so I settled for the smaller one which is 10ml and retailed for $25 (from memory) and since then, it's been one of my best decisions ever. It's described as a 'mineral-based, water-resistant primer with SPF15 that neutralises the skin, minimises shine, and creates a smooth, uniform canvas for flawless makeup application.' I couldn't agree with the description any more than that.

The Christmas Tag

Monday 16 December 2013

Put your hands up if you love Christmas! (-puts hand up-) I am back again to do another tag post, I love reading other bloggers and YouTubers tag post/videos so I thought I would participate in The Christmas Tag! I wasn't tagged by anyone in particular but I thought, what the hell, this do it since it's my favourite time of the year?
What's your favorite holiday movie?
What's my favourite holiday movie hey .. I would have to say Love Actually! It's funny, romantic and festive which is why I love it. I don't really watch Christmas movies on the actual day nor leading up to Christmas but when I do, Love Actually wins :)
What's your favorite Christmas colour?
I would have to go with red, white and gold. Something about these three colours are really mesmerising and festive when I look at them. When I have my own house, I will definitely be incorporating these colours into my colour scheme during the Christmas period.
Do you open your presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Hahaha I open them during Christmas Night to be honest!
What's your favorite winter fragrance?
It's currently not Winter here in Australia but I love my Marc Jacobs Daisy and Sunshine perfume for any season or occasion. It smells delightful and fresh!
Favorite Christmas smell?
I like really sweet scents such as caramel, frosting, cupcakes or just something sweet in general! It makes me feel really warm and fuzzy inside and I could literally smell it forever.
What's your favorite holiday drink?
I don't have one really, I guess anything that's there is good enough for me!
Candy cane or gingerbread men?
Candy Canes all the way, gingerbread men smell really yummy but I love the taste of Candy Canes way better!
Favorite Christmas song?
Definitely 'All I Want For Christmas' is my favourite of all time!
Have you ever made a snowman?
I've made one when I travelled to the snow but that wasn't during Christmas! Does that still count? Haha :D
What is most important to you about the holidays?
Spending it with my family and friends is more than I could ever ask for. I don't care about not receiving presents, I just really love the company of my close ones and would do anything for them!

I tag YOU to do this as well! I would love to get to know you so if you've done it or thinking about doing it then comment down below! Thank you for reading lovelies, and Merry Early Christmas! Mwah xx

Wishlist | December/Christmas 2013

Hello loves, back to do another wish list! I enjoy making these lists even if I don't actually get them (a little weird, I know) but nonetheless, I'm sure everyone has their own wish list for the upcoming holiday. Christmas is my definitely one of my favourite times of the year and I love nothing more than celebrating with my family and friends. But what makes me happiest most is having the opportunity to spoilt them with presents. Is Christmas your favourite holiday as well? Comment down below! Now let's get started :)
1. Canon 600D Digital SLR Camera
I've been wanting a Digital SLR for years now and it's still on my wish list. I guess I never really got around to purchasing myself since they're quite expensive but because I have a job now, there isn't anything stopping me from buying one! I love Canon Cameras but I wouldn't mind a Nikon either!
2. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
Surely this palette is on every girl's wish list, I've seen many YouTube gurus rave and talk about this particular palette and I've wanted it ever since. I love the rose undertone of each shade and would think they would compliment my skin tone perfectly! I love my Naked 2 palette and I can't imagine that I wouldn't love the Naked 3 as well! It's finally available on BeautyBay for about $80 with free shipping but it's still very expensive.
3. Glass House Candle in 'Taaha - Vanilla Caramel'
This scent is my absolute favourite out of the Glass House candles because it's so sweet and smells exactly like caramel. My boyfriend bought me a mini version of this candle and I fell in love with it. They retail for $40 dollars at Peter Alexander and David Jones which in my opinion, is crazy for just a candle but I think I would spend every penny on this scent because it's divine!
4. Miranda Kerr 'Empower Yourself'
Last year for Valentine's Day, my boyfriend bought me Miranda Kerr's Treasure Yourself novel and I really enjoyed reading it. She's an inspiring young woman and is insanely successful for her age. I really can't wait to get my hands on her new novel and reading it this summer.
5. Michael Kors Satchel - Selma Large Top Zip
I've been eyeing this bag for sometime now and really love the simplicity of it's design. It's a great accessory to add on to any outfit as it's black with gold hardware. From looking at photos, the bag seems very spacious and I'm the type of person to carry her whole life in just one purse/bag. This bag is a little on the expensive side but I think it would be a great 'splurge' item!
6. Pandora Christmas Tree Charm
I love my Pandora bracelet! If you guys aren't familiar with Pandora bracelets, I suggest you guys jump on their website and look at their beautiful designs and intricate details on each of their charms. As Christmas is coming up, I wouldn't mind treating my bracelet to a Christmas charm to end 2013. It's so adorable!
7. Hourglass 'Dim Light' Ambient Lighting Powder
Last but not least is another make up product. The sales assistant at Mecca Cosmetics lightly dusted this over my face and I fell in love with the finish and look it gave to my face. It blurred out imperfections and added a beautiful silky texture to my skin. I am looking forward to purchasing this in the near future despite it's price!

That concludes my wish list guys! I hope you enjoyed reading. Comment down below with your wishlist so I can read them! Until next time, please follow me on Bloglovin' to receive updates and also my Twitter and Facebook! Toodles!

Monthly Favourites | November

Saturday 7 December 2013

Okay, so I lied, they're not monthly because I've been neglecting these types of posts! But I will get better at them in time .. hopefully! But today I'll be sharing my November favourites with you guys and what I've been loving!

  1. Firstly is the L'Oreal True Match Powder in W3. You guys, this pressed powder is so amazing, I brought this on my Sydney trip and it just worked wonders for my oily skin and it added a little more coverage to my face without looking cakey. It's smooth, fine and a little goes a long way and it also is the perfect shade for my skin. I has a great mirror on the inside and I just love it. I really recommend it. I would personally buy this as a cheaper alternative to my MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder (since it's cheaper)
  2. Next up is the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle. I'm sure all you bloggers and readers out there have seen and swatched this beautiful highlighter and have fallen deeply inlove with the shade and pigmentation of this product. I had my cousin buy this for me whilst he was in America and it was the best decision I've made! Not only was it cheaper over there, but the product itself is divine. The colour payoff is beautiful and gives the most natural glow to the skin without making you look like a walking disco ball.
  3. My Sleek Face Form Kit is another favourite for this month because of it's versatility. It comes with a lovely highlight, matte bronzer and a peachy blush with golden shimmer. It comes with a decent amount of product which in my opinion, will last me for awhile! I took this travelling with me because it had everything I needed in one compact. It matches my skin perfectly and afforable as well! Great pigmentation, I suggest you guys pick up any of Sleek's blushes or bronzers because I'm telling you now, you won't be disappointed.
  4. A new item to my collection is the Maybelline theCOLOSSAL mascara in Black (Waterproof). I'm not the biggest fan of Maybelline Mascaras because I think their brush designs are too much for my short, sparse and little eyelashes. But when I saw my cousin using this mascara, I knew I had to try it out for myself. If you read in one of my previous posts, I recently picked up the Shu Ueruma Eyelash Curler and using that in conjunction with this mascara is a winner, winner, chicken dinner! I am inlove with this mascara because: 1. It's waterproof and 2. It holds my curl all day and night. I really recommend it, plus, I really love the wand for this mascara.
  5. Last but not least is my L'Oreal BB Cream in Light. Usually I'm in the shade Medium but when swatching both shades in store, they seem to oxidise quickly so I opted for the Light. At first I wasn't a fan of this BB Cream, I felt like it added no coverage whatsoever and had a weird concept of containing small beads which contained the shade and would pop when you rubbed it into your skin. But now, I am loving this BB Cream, it gives me the right amount of coverage and feels super lightweight!
Another month has come and gone and now we are in December, a month full of joy and happiness. I hope you guys enjoyed reading my post and please, comment down below with your November or any favourites you may have!

Empties | November

Wednesday 4 December 2013

Hi guys! I haven't done an Empties post in the longest time because it takes me ages to finish one product! But over the past month and a half, I've accumulated my used up products and finally have enough to talk about. It may seem like a lot but remember, it look me awhile to finish these items and I've had them for quite awhile. But anyways, besides that, let's get right into it!

Benefit Custom Makeup Kit

Benefit Cosmetics has came up with a custom makeup kit system which is exclusive to their website! Basically they offer you a variety of items ranging from face to cheek to eye products plus a free gift and you can choose one item from each category. It retails for $79 dollars which I think is an amazing price for a variety of products.
I chose the Some-Kind-Of-Gorgeous foundation in Medium, Fake Up Creaseless Concealer in Medium, boxed powder blush in Rockateur and a Hydra-Smooth Lip Colour in Air Kiss. It also comes with the free makeup bag (which I adore) and also you can choose 2 samples (such as, Stay Don't Stray, POREfessional etc.)
I first used the Some-Kind-Of-Gorgeous foundation when I purchased my 'Primping with the Stars' kit which you can read my review here. I really love this foundation because it's easy to apply, creates a flawless canvas, semi-matte finish, blendable and buildable. I can't wait to try out this product with my new Beauty Blender! If you guys are looking for something lightweight with coverage, I recommend this product instead of the Hello Flawless Oxygen foundation.
I've never tried nor tested this product in stores but from reading reviews and watching YouTuber's talk about this product, I was interested in picking up this concealer for my under eye area which can sometimes get dry. I can't say much about it now because I haven't tried it yet but if you guys want a review on it then I will gladly do one for you guys! And by the way, the packaging is superb!
You guys .. I have wanted the Dandelion boxed blush but when I found out that they offered the Rockateur blush in this kit, I had to get it straight away! At first glance, it's a beautiful deep rose blush with gold shimmer and it appears like that when swatched as well. I loved the embossed design in the blush, it adds so much character but the problem is, I don't wanna touch it because it will get ruined! Another plus is that it smells like roses, I love Benefit's blush scents. If you guys haven't smelt it, I suggest you go and smell it now!
Last but not least is the Hydra-Smooth Lip Colour in Air Kiss which is a beautiful rosy pink lip balm (in my opinion it feels like a lip balm). I'm loving this colour, it suits my skin tone and it's wearable for everyday. I also love the packaging for this product as well, it's innovative, fun and cute which is my style!

That's the end of my post my lovelies! I hope you enjoyed reading and got a little more insight on the Custom Makeup Kit from Benefit. I've been eyeing it for awhile and decided to take the plunge and thought I could spoil myself to some new products. This was my first time ordering with Benefit and I can safely say that they had an easy check out system, shipped out quickly (it arrived at my house within 2 weeks) and packaged neatly. Benefit Cosmetics in Australia is on the pricey side so I think this custom kit has really saved my wallet haha. There are so much more choices than this so please take a look at their website if you're interested in a particular item. I would totally recommend this to people who are new to Benefit Cosmetics or has been a long lover of them because it's just a great addition to anyones makeup collection.

Do you have this kit as well? Comment down below what you chose! If you're interested in this kit, tell me down below what you would choose!

Priceline 40% OFF Cosmetics | Haul

Monday 25 November 2013

Long time no blog, guys! I hope you've all been well. I'm very well behind in sharing what I bought during Priceline's 40% off sale but hey, better late than never right? Priceline is killing my wallet with their amazing 40% off sales, I love it! Let's jump straight into it.
Lucas Papaw Ointment |
This wasn't actually on sale but I knew I needed to pick up another one since I was running low! I've repurchased this time and time again and still lives up to its claims, I really recommend this ointment if you suffer from burns, cuts or dry skin!

Maybelline 'the COLOSSAL' Mascara |
This is my first time trying this mascara after hearing my cousin talk about it. It has a bent wand (which I love, similar to Covergirl Clump Crusher wand but instead with fibre bristles) and is also waterproof which keeps my curl nice and up all day! I feel as if the formula is a little bit wet when applied but dries quickly and has a decent staying power.

Niver Lip Balms in 'Chamomile and Calendula' and 'SPF 30' |
My favourite lip balm of all time is the Chamomile and Calendula, I've bought it countless times and it is literally my holy grail item. I also picked up the SPF 30 lip balm as well as Summer is slowly around the corner in Australia and I want to keep my body, face and lips protected! I do notice that it leaves a very white cast (just like when you apply sun screen to your body) on the lips which I think is a little weird but interesting!

L'Oreal True Match Power in 'W3' |
I've heard all about this famous setting powder around the blogosphere and on YouTube so I decided to pick one up to use in conjunction with my True Match foundation. I've been using this for a few days now I can safely say that I am really enjoying the coverage and texture of this powder. It's been finely milled and has a lot of colour payoff!

Face of Australia Loose Setting Powder |
Last but not least, a famous setting powder which has been recommended by the beautiful Lauren Curtis from Lauren Beauty in almost all of her videos! I've never tried anything from Face of Australia so I'm hoping this will make a great first impression! I can't wait to use it.

Apart from the Priceline sale, I also picked up the Shu Uemura eyelash curler and guys, I absolutely recommend this eyelash curler because it is amazing! It curls my short, asian lashes beautifully! I picked it up at David Jones in Chadstone for $29, best investment ever!
What did you pick up from the Priceline sale? Comment down below with your haul or what you bought!

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation | Review

Wednesday 20 November 2013

Rimmel Stay Matte Mousse Foundation | Review
Hey friends, I'm back to do a review on another foundation! I've been trying out the new Stay Matte Mousse Foundation for several weeks now and finally I can give you my honest opinion on it. If you guys haven't seen this foundation in stores yet, it's now available at Priceline and Chemist Warehouse. I picked it up at Chemist Warehouse when it was first released which retailed for $7.97. My shade is in 200 Soft Beige, just in case you guys were wondering.
Let's talk about the packaging, it's quite simple, nothing out of the ordinary. A basic squeeze tube with a screw off cap; easy to dispense product and can control how much you want to dispense. Not as handy as a pump but it's better than nothing! Onto the actual formula .. I haven't tried their original Stay Matte Foundation so I don't really have anything to compare it to but I would say it lives up to what it claims on their website and bottle.

Wishlist | November 2013

Wednesday 13 November 2013

Hey there bloggers, I hope you're well! I thought I would share my current wish list with you guys cause let's be honest, I think everyone has a wish list in mind for the upcoming holiday! These are just a few things I've thought about treating myself to right now but not quite sure because they're a little more on the expensive side, but hey, a girl can dream!
1. Tilkah 'Marguerite Tote' -
A beautifully designed tote bag that can fit all my essentials and looks chic at the same time. On the website it's described to have '.. three large compartments, front zipper section under the flap and adorned with chic gold hardware.' Although it looks kind of simple, that's what attracted me to it, and also it's colour and design can go with any outfit.
2. Tarte 'Take Off the Cuff' Blush Palette' -
I love love love the look of this palette, I've never owned anything from Tarte but I've heard amazing things about their Amazonian blushes and how long lasting they are so I'm really interested in this palette but of course, it's so hard to find and access Tarte in Australia!
3. Laura Mercier 'Shimmer Bloc' -
Amazing pigmentation with this product, a little swipe gave me so much product! I fell in love at first sight, although I have my MAC's Soft and Gentle, this highlight is a must have in my opinion!
4. Laura Mercier 'Artist's Palette' -
I am in love with the shades in this palette because they're soft and neutral, perfect for everyday wear. Although I already have the Naked 2 and the Nude Tude palette, I definitely plan to invest in this gorgeous palette.
5. Hourglass 'Ambient Lighting Palette' -
I can't tell you enough how much I would love this palette! I swatched I believe Dim Light(?) in stores and fell in love, it's so beautiful and I love the finish. One day!

Sephora, MAC and Victoria Secret | Haul

Monday 11 November 2013

Hi everyone, long time no see! Welcome back to my blog :)
My cousin recently went to America and I gave him (yes him!) a list of beauty products to buy from Sephora and MAC since there are so many products that aren't available in Australia and at a cheaper price. My total order came to $170 which is pretty cheap in my opinion, if I was to buy it here in Australia, it would be double the price. I picked up:
  1. MAC Lipstick in 'Creme De Nude'
  2. MAC Lipstick in 'Faux'
  3. MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in 'Soft and Gentle'
  4. MAC Blush in 'Desert Rose'
  5. Beauty Blender
There were a few other items such as the Lorac Pro Palette and Shiseido Eyelash Curler but they've been out of stock for awhile since everyone is such a big fan of them!

Lush Tea Tree Water | Review

Thursday 31 October 2013

Hello beauties!
Lush is known for their creative and scented bath bombs, which was the reason why I kept coming back. But ever since I became more interested in cosmetics and skin care, I've been steering towards their amazing range of makeup/skincare products. From YouTube to the blogging world, I've heard amazing things about the Lush Tea Tree Water which is basically a toner but also contains ingredients that can help tackle blemishes. There are two sizes, 100g for $9.95 and 250g for $19.95. I purchased the 100g bottle to test it out to see how I liked it before I proceeded to buy the bigger bottle and I can honestly say that I really do love this product.

"Comes to the aid of skin that has emergencies. Tea tree is a wonder antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial ingredient for anyone with oily or spot prone skin".

NYX Powder Blush in 'Peach' and 'Pinched' | Swatch

Tuesday 29 October 2013

Hey there lovelies, welcome back to my page! I've been hearing from all different bloggers that NYX would be arriving in Australia soon and guess what? It has! I went to my local Target in Highpoint Shopping Centre and the lady there was still stocking the shelf and I knew I needed to get my hands on something straight away. I have never tried any face products from NYX before so I'm really happy that it's available in Australia since it's easier to access and I don't have to pay for shipping.

These blushes retail in Target for $9.95 which is a little more pricey than usual but I was willing to pay for it because I just wanted to try out something straight away! Both blushes have 4g of product which is pretty decent for a blush, seeing as you only need very little product when applying it to the cheeks. I picked up the shades 'Peach' which is a rosy pinkish pink with a matte finish and 'Pinched' which is a pinky shade with gold shimmer; kind of like a rose gold. Peach doesn't look like a peachy shade at all, but has more of a pink tone to it which is still very pretty.

The packaging is made from plastic like most drugstore packaging and has a large window which is awesome because you can see the actual shade on the inside. The blush is very compact and smaller than a MAC blush which means that it's good for travel.

As you can see from the swatches down the bottom, Peach is a very pinkish blush and Pinched is a very pinky blush with gold shimmer. When swatched and sheered out, they look quite similar in colour but Peach looks a little deeper. I haven't used these blushes yet but I'm so excited to try them out!

Comment down below and tell me what you think of the NYX blushes and what else you would recommend from the brand!

(In all the photos) Left: Peach and Right: Pinched

Australis 'Tint My Brow' Brow Tint | Review

Tuesday 22 October 2013

Good morning/afternoon/night my lovely readers, welcome back to my blog! I will be reviewing the new Australis 'Tint My Brow' Brow Tint that just recently landed on the shelves of Priceline and Big W! I was really excited to hear this product getting released as it seems like a dupe for Benefit's new 'Gimme Brows' which I was ABOUT to get! They are exactly the same concept but the price tag is quite different. I picked up the Australis Brow Tint at Big W for I believe $9.95 and the Benefit Brow Tint is a whopping $22. Although Benefit comes out with amazing products such as their foundations and blushes, I think the price of the brow tint is a little much for such a small product (but this is just my opinion, I haven't actually tried it for myself yet!).

RiRi ♥ MAC Cream Colour Base in Diamonds | Swatch and Review

Wednesday 16 October 2013

Hi there beauties, welcome back to my page! It feels like forever since I've written up a post so today I thought I would share with you guys the latest product to hit the MAC counters in Australia. And yes, you guys have guessed it; it's the RiRi ♥ MAC Collection and I unfortunately only picked up one item (since everything here in Australia is a little over priced in my opinion!) This is actually my first MAC purchase in Australia so I'm a little excited even though many people do it on a daily basis haha.

Liebster Award | Part 2

Wednesday 9 October 2013

Hello my lovely bloggers, I'm back again to do the Liebster Award as I was tagged by the lovely Citra from Faithopeloving! Thank you so much for tagging me, you have a wonderful blog! (I hope you're reading this) Anyways, surely you guys know the go with the Liebster Award so I'll jump straight into it! You can read my first Liebster Award here! (If you're interested in reading)

1. What is your holy grail make up product?
I would have to say .. my Nivea Lip Balm in Milk and Honey (as boring as it sounds), it really moisturises my lips and I don't think I can't live without it.
2. If you could only have one type of hairstyle throughout your entire life, what would it be?
I would probably rock loose curls! It's effortless, gives a little volume and looks fabulous for any occasion! I wouldn't mind doing my hair like this right now actually ..
3. Favourite part of doing makeup?
I think it would be .. contour, blush and highlight!
4. High end makeup and drugstore skincare or drugstore makeup and high end skincare?
Hard choice .. but I would probably choose drugstore makeup and high end skincare. It would be awesome to use high end makeup but I think skincare is most important especially in creating a prefect canvas before applying makeup true?
5. Do you read blogs, magazines or both?
I read magazines occasionally or when I want that exact issue but usually I read blogs more so as I find it more informative and accessible and I don't have to pay for it haha :)
6. What products are always in your every day makeup bag?
Hmm, Crabtree and Evelyn Handcream, Maybelline Colour Whisper in Lust for Blush, Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait, Marc Jacobs Daisy Roll On Perfume, Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm, Panadol .. hair ties and bobby pins!
7. If you could be an animal, what would you be?
I would probably be a dog haha. As typical as it sounds, I love how dogs are loyal and trustworthy, which is something I believe (or I hope!) I have.
8. If you had to change your blog URL, what would you change it to?
Never really thought about this but if I had a choice, I wouldn't change it cos I really like it the way it is. But if I had to then maybe .. I don't know! Hahaha I will get back to this ..
9. Do you ever dream about a romance between you and your celebrity crush?
Totally, Ryan Gosling is amazing! And Zac Efron. And Ian Somerhalder. But my boyfriend beats all of them! Hahahahahaha.
10. Favourite food?
Another hard question .. it would probably have to be pasta/pizza. I love me some carbs and both of them fulfil my needs!
11. Currently, what is your favourite blog?
I love all blogs but I guess right now I would have to say 'Chelle from Cosmetic Cupcake!
12. What have you learned from blogging?
I learned that the beauty community is huge and there are sooo many products out there to try. Everyone is so helpful in voicing their own opinions about certain products which really helps me before I buy an actual product :)

I hope you guys enjoyed getting to know me a little better! I hope ya'll having a great evening and I will chat to you in my next post! xx

Essence, Rimmel and Lush | Collective Haul

Tuesday 8 October 2013

Hello there my lovely bloggers, how are you today? Daylight savings has finally changed in Australia meaning that the sun stays out for much longer which is a bonus! So I haven't been too crazy with going shopping lately, but I did pick up a few things in the last month so I thought I would show you!

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation | Review

Thursday 3 October 2013

Hello my darlings, welcome back to my page! Today I will be doing a review on the newest foundation by Revlon called 'Nearly Naked' as it claims that it's '.. so light, it melts right in, working in harmony with your skin's unique tone and texture for an even, fresh finish.' When this product hit the shelves in Priceline, I had to pick it up straight away since there were a fair few YouTube gurus raving about it and also comparing it to Urban Decay's Naked Skin Foundation (which isn't available in Australia!) so I was like 'gotta get my hands on that'.
When these products were released, Priceline was having a 'Buy 2 for $30' sale so they were $15 each which is pretty good in my opinion! For the foundation, I picked up the shade 160 Fresh Beige and in the powder, I picked up the shade 30 Medium. I think the foundation is a TAD too light for my skin but using it in conjunction with the powder, it looks flawless as it adds a little coverage. Let's start off by talking about the foundation shall we?
The packaging of this foundation is standard, class case with a screw off plastic cap. Downfall of this foundation? Yes you've guessed it, NO PUMP which is an absolute let down. Aside from that, the formula itself is great! It has an SPF of 20 which is great for the upcoming Summer but not too good for flash photography. You'll see later that even on my hand and taking a photo, it leaves a white cast which is a NO-NO for photography!
As you can see, the consistency of the foundation is quite liquid-y and because it doesn't have a pump, it's hard to distribute the right amount of product without pouring too much or too less (plus, it gets so messy!) but despite that, when it's applied on the skin, it blends wonderfully and smoothly. I would say this foundation CAN be built to the lower end of high coverage but it would defeat the purpose of it being 'nearly naked'. With one layer on my face,  I would say it is a medium coverage which I'm happy with as that's what I'm used to with most of my foundations. Once applied, I felt as if it was really heavy, like I just applied MAC's Studio Fix but once it's settled into the skin, it feels and looks very natural. It leaves a dewy finish to the skin and if you have dry skin, I would say to skip the powder and move on to blush or bronzer! But for the people who have oily skin, I recommend you apply powder after the foundation has set unless you love the 'disco ball' effect, haha!
The packaging again is standard which you might have seen within the Revlon range already (like their bronzers). They have a small mirror on top of the window and also comes with a small puff so that you can use it on the go! You guys .. I absolutely adore this powder. It's a pressed and finely milled piece of art and works great with ALL foundations, not just the Nearly Naked. But I really like it because it adds coverage yet feels lightweight on my skin. It has a smooth texture and sets my foundation perfectly. I love the end results as it doesn't cake up the rest of my makeup, but mattifies exceptionally well which was surprising as I've never tried any powders from Revlon.

Overall, I really do like the Nearly Naked collection and I heard that Revlon is releasing a Nearly Naked Mineral Foundation soon (might have to get my hands on this aswell!) I think it's a great duo for people who have oily to combination skin but for dry skin, I recommend just the foundation which will do!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Please comment down below telling me your thoughts on this foundation and powder or if you're interested in trying it!

The Liebster Award

Hello lovelies, welcome back to my channel. First off, I wanted to say a special thanks to the sisters (sorry I couldn't find your names on your page!) from sister hearts7 for nominating me for this award! As you all you might know, this award gives new bloggers a great opportunity to answer personal questions and be more interactive with the blogging community which is awesome!

I will be answering the 10 questions that Sister Hearts 7 has asked and will also be coming up with another 10 questions and nominating 10 bloggers (under 200 followers) in this post! I would love to interact with new bloggers since I am one myself :)

Questions:
  1. What made you want to start a blog?
I started a blog because my friend from Sincerely Blushaholic persuaded me to start a beauty blog. I was a little nervous at the start because I hadn't blogged for a very long time and thought that there wouldn't be anyone who would be interested in reading it! But now I love blogging and enjoy informing my readers on new products :)
  2. What social networking site do you spend the most time on?
It would probably be a fight between Instagram or Twitter. They're the first social networks I jump on right when I wake up!
  3. What is your favorite store to shop at?
Oooh this is a hard one! For makeup I would definitely have to say Priceline but for fashion and accessories .. I'm not too sure!
  4. What is your go-to beauty product?
I think it would be lipstick/lip balm! I have a unhealthy obsession with lip products and I need at least one everywhere I go! I love the Revlon Lustrous Collection and right now I am leaning towards the shade Liptember Pink which I purchased at Chemist Warehouse!
  5. What is your favorite season of the year?
I think Summer would be my favourite because I love the atmosphere, the fashion trends and the season itself. Although there are super hot hot days, I enjoy spending my time out in the sun (with sunscreen of course!)
  6. What is your favorite article of clothing?
It would have to be .. my black skater skirt! This is a staple in my wardrobe because it can be dressed up or down. I can throw this on with a crop top and flats then run out the door!
  7. What is your go-to outfit?
Leggings, statement top, classic cardigan, chunky necklace, flats, sunnies then out the door!
  8. What celebrity best describes your style?
Ooh this is hard, umm I would probably have to say .. Jen from Clothes Encounters! She's not a celebrity but her fashion channel is awesome and I would say she is one of my fashion inspirations!
  9. What is one thing that you have always wanted to do/try, but haven't yet?
Bungee Jumping or Sky Diving! I would love love love to try it one day!
  10. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Right now? I would choose America and travel around Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando and of course, New York City.
So the 10 bloggers I would like to nominate are:
  1. http://honeyoffathorn.blogspot.com.au/
  2. http://www.beautyholicsanonymous.com/
  3. http://allherprettylittlethings.blogspot.com.au/
  4. http://www.justplaindelirious.com/
  5. http://www.foxandmint.blogspot.com.au/
  6. http://thatlittlewhitedress.wordpress.com/
  7. http://the411shopaholicsanonymous.blogspot.com.au/
  8. http://www.spotthebeautyblogger.blogspot.com.au/
  9. http://triedandtestedblog.wordpress.com/
  10. http://rosycheekssite.wordpress.com/
And my questions for you guys are:
  1. What is one thing you can't live without? And it can be anything in the world!
  2. What's your favourite food?
  3. Which YouTube Guru inspires your makeu-up/fashion looks?
  4. Drug store make up or high end make up? And why?
  5. How many shoes do you have in your wardrobe?
  6. Do you prefer blushers or bronzers? Why?
  7. What makeup product are you leaning towards buying but haven't yet?
  8. If you had to use ONE makeup product for the rest of your life, what would it be?
  9. Are you a denim, leggings, track suits, shorts or skirt person?
  10. If you had one wish, what would it be?
Thank you again Sister Hearts 7 for nominating me, I had a lot of fun answer your questions! To the nominated bloggers, please leave your link down below in this post if you have answered my questions! But until then, I hope everyone has a nice day!

Primping with the Stars ☆ | Benefit Cosmetics

Wednesday 18 September 2013

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog. I recently made a trip to the Benefit Counter in Myer and picked up a kit called 'Primping with the Stars' (gorgeous name!) To be honest, I really didn't need to pick this up at all but after I show you what's inside, you'll be wanting it too! And also because I had a $20 gift voucher that I wanted to use so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity.

If you are not familiar with Benefit kits, definitely jump onto their website or go into a store and take a look at them because they contain sample sized items of their products (such as Benetint, Posietint, They're Real -depending on the box-). So if you're on their edge about purchasing a full sized product but aren't too sure about it, then I suggest buying their makeup kits and testing them out first before buying the full size. And also, if you're a fan of convenient makeup, this is stored in one box that you can take with you on travel!

Maybelline Colour Whispers | Swatch and Review

Thursday 5 September 2013

Hi loves, how has everyone been? Sorry for my lack of posts, I've been dying to blog but just didn't have an opportunity to do so. Since I've kept you waiting long enough, I will get straight into it. Today I will be showing you swatches and reviewing the new Maybelline Colour Whispers that recently hit the shelves in Australia. I picked up most of mine from Priceline during their amazing 50% sale that they recently had (I now have a hole in my wallet where my money used to be!)

The Colour Whispers come in a total of eight shades and they come in pretty plums, bright pinks and sheer oranges. I picked up the shades: Who Wore it Red-er, Mad for Magenta, Pink Possibilities, Lust for Blush and Oh La Lilac (Not in the same order shown below)

Swatch/Review: The Balm 'Instain' Blush in Toile

Monday 26 August 2013

Hello beauties, welcome back to my page! Today I will be doing a simple swatch post on the new 'Instain' blush from The Balm in the shade Toile! This product recently hit the shelves at David Jones and I was really keen in trying them out because they received some pretty great reviews from the lovely Emily from Beauty Broadcast (watching her videos make me want to buy everything!)

This blush comes in six different shades varying from bright pinks to deep plums. Although there aren't many shades, I think there is a shade for all skin tones whether you're fair, natural or dark. The shades are: Argle (Petal Pink), Swiss Dot (Peach), Toile (Strawberry), Lace (Bright Pink), Houndstooth (Mauve) and Pinstripe (Plum).

First Impression: Maybelline Age Rewind Primer

Friday 16 August 2013

Hi guys! Back to do a post on .. -drum rolls- .. another primer! I don't know what it is but I've been really interested in using primers lately so I decided to pick up another one. You guys .. Priceline is having a massive 50% off Maybelline sale RIGHT NOW so go if there's anything you've been eyeing, go grab them now! I was hanging for this sale and made a list right when I found out and the Maybelline Age Rewind Primer was one of the items that I was interested in. I've been reading some reviews on this primer and saw that people were rating it 3.5-4 stars so I thought, half price, why not?

So today I will be doing a 'First Impression' which basically trying out a product for the first time and then giving my personal opinion/review on it. It claims that it makes '.. skin look instantly transformed into a perfectly smooth canvas for ideal makeup application. Lines, wrinkles, pores and imperfections appear to instantly vanish in just one step.' It comes with .85 FL of product and retails for $15.95 but after the 50% off, it retails for $7.95! Bargain hey? Let's jump right into it!

16AUG13 | Outfit Of The Day

Hi loves, first OOTD on my blog!

I haven't posted a fashion post in a very long time so I thought that I could do daily/weekly OOTD's on my blog. I'm not really sure yet but I hope you guys enjoy and get some ideas! xx

Swatches: The Balm 'Shady Lady' Eyeshadow Palette and 'Hot Mama' Blush

Tuesday 13 August 2013

Welcome back to my page darlings, hope you've been well! David Jones is having a sweet deal on The Balm cosmetics at the moment and I got my hands on two goodies! The deal is that if you spend $27.95 or more on the brand, you will receive a 'Shady Lady' eyeshadow palette for free which is at a $49.95 value! What a bargain! The 'Hot Mama' Blush is valued at exactly $27.95 so both products were only $14 each. You can't beat that, especially because The Balm is quite expensive in Australia.

I've been eyeing the Hot Mama blush for a very long time because of Emily Noel from Beauty Broadcast! Every time I walked past the stand I couldn't resist swatching the blush but walked away because of the price. The Shady Lady palette was a bonus but I never really looked at the eyeshadows since they were quite shimmery and metallic but once I bought it, each colour really caught my eye. So let's jump right into the swatches shall we?

Review: Australis Mattifying Face Base

Sunday 11 August 2013

Hey there bloggers! It's been quite awhile since my last post (at least I feel like it has). I purchased the Australis Mattifying Face Base from Priceline about two weeks back which retailed for $13.95 but I got it on sale for $10.95! It is described as a '.. mattifying face base stick that helps to control oil as well as brighten and and adjust skin tone.'

I decided to buy this product because I've read some amazing reviews from other users. It received a 4-5 star rating and once I read that, I jumped on the bandwagon picked one up and better yet, it was on sale. I don't use primer or bases on a daily basis because I actually tend to forget! I currently use MAC's Prep and Prime and I love it. I thought that this 'Matte Out' stick would be an easier alternative to apply primer as it's in a stick form and can be easily brought around with me.
