First Impression: Maybelline Age Rewind Primer

Friday 16 August 2013

Hi guys! Back to do a post on .. -drum rolls- .. another primer! I don't know what it is but I've been really interested in using primers lately so I decided to pick up another one. You guys .. Priceline is having a massive 50% off Maybelline sale RIGHT NOW so go if there's anything you've been eyeing, go grab them now! I was hanging for this sale and made a list right when I found out and the Maybelline Age Rewind Primer was one of the items that I was interested in. I've been reading some reviews on this primer and saw that people were rating it 3.5-4 stars so I thought, half price, why not?

So today I will be doing a 'First Impression' which basically trying out a product for the first time and then giving my personal opinion/review on it. It claims that it makes '.. skin look instantly transformed into a perfectly smooth canvas for ideal makeup application. Lines, wrinkles, pores and imperfections appear to instantly vanish in just one step.' It comes with .85 FL of product and retails for $15.95 but after the 50% off, it retails for $7.95! Bargain hey? Let's jump right into it!

(First Review) 2.00pm until 7.00pm |
So it's been about  five hours since I applied my primer and makeup and from then until now, my face feels matte, I don't see any oil around my T-Zone (which is where I get oily most) and my BB Cream and Blush are still showing through nicely. Right now, the weather in Melbourne is crazy windy and I've been walking around shopping while the wind was constantly in my face. I just got home and my makeup still look like it did five hours ago. Not too bad!

(Second Review) 7.00pm until 9.00pm |
It's been a total of 7 hours since I've applied my makeup and my face still isn't oily, I don't see any shininess on my face and it looks amazing. I've eaten dinner and now I'm sitting in bed checking my face. Overall, I think this is a great product for people who have oily skin like myself. It lasts for quite awhile which I like so I hope it can hold up when I have other events such as birthdays or weddings as I didn't really do much today. The only complaint I would have about this product is the scent. It has quite a chemical scent to it when first applied which I dislike but it fades away when you blend it into your skin which is fine with me.

So I hope you guys enjoyed this post and thank you for reading!

Have you tried out this primer? What are your thoughts on it? Comment down below!
